Interactions
When you're new to flying drones, the legislation and conflicting information from different peoples interpretation of the rules can be extremely confusing.
One of the biggest issues with flying drones is the lack of understanding of the legislation surrounding them, the law around filming in public and the legislation relating to flying and filming over private land.
These videos provide an insight into the possible interactions (both good and bad) drone pilots may experience when out flying.
The selected videos are from DJ Audits and other YouTube channels, these show the ignorance of CAA Drone Law by members of the public, business owners, employees and even the police.
See why I reference YouTube Auditors on the site.
I see many negative comments directed to the police in these online videos but in many cases, once the legislation is explained and they understand what's going on, their approach and attitude changes. The police are there because they need to ensure no laws have been broken and if they have, they have to act accordingly.
YouTube Auditors
The following example videos come from two YouTube Auditors; DJ Audits, Auditing Britain and DJE Media.
Some Auditors deliberately try to provoke to capture peoples reactions and test professionalism at sites they visit.
The reason these channels were chosen for examples (DJ Audits expecially) is because these people remain calm, they stand their ground, push back and argue using facts and legislation, testing others' opinions and interpretation of the law and as a result, they prove your rights as a drone pilot and photographer, highlighting the ignorance of the law in many cases.
Please see the UK Governments official information and training video on Auditors and how to interact with them.
Other Interactions
There are three likely interactions you'll deal with as a drone pilot. Those with the general public, the police and employees (including security) of companies.
