CAP 382, or the Mandatory Occurrence Reporting Scheme (MORS), is a safety reporting system regulated by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Its goal is to enhance aviation safety by ensuring that occurrences which could impact the safety of aircraft, passengers, and crew are promptly reported and analyzed.
CAP 382 contributes to continuous improvement in aviation safety by creating a database of occurrences that allows the CAA and other aviation bodies to analyze trends, assess risks, and take preventive actions. This ultimately leads to safer skies for all stakeholders in the aviation industry.
The aim of MORS is to make sure that safety issues are identified early, to prevent accidents, and to foster a culture of transparency and learning within the aviation industry.
